This rifle class will help you become more familiar with your AR-15 style rifle. We will show you how to operate your carbine safely, efficiently, and professionally. This is a basic carbine course designed for the beginner who has never taken a professional carbine course.

This class will cover:

The proper way to load and unload your rifle.

Carry and ready positions.

Proper sling management.

Knowing and understanding your mechanical offset.

Standing, kneeling, and urban - prone shooting positions.
Emergency and tactical reloads.

Malfunctions

Targets will be at 50 yds. and in.
The majority of the class will be at 25 yds. and in.
Safety and medical brief.

Dress for the weather, class will continue rain or shine.

Equipment Required:

  • Good quality tactical rifle

  • 250 - 300 rds. of good quality ammunition. No reloads please.

  • Good quality sling, a two-point adjustable is preferred. **( No carry straps please! )** You must have a tactical sling!

  • 3-4 30 rd. mags

  • Magazine pouch for one 30 rd. mag to designate an emergency reload.

  • A good quality red dot sight mounted correctly and zeroed prior to coming to class. 3X magnifiers are ok. Can have magnification optics up to 4 X. Variable power optics 1-6 X are ok.

  • You can use your iron sights, but not preferred.

  • Eye and Ear protection

  • Rifle cleaning kit and lubricant

  • Rain Gear

  • Bug repellent

  • Sun block

  • Pocket notebook

  • Baseball style hat is recommended

  • Water, hydration, snacks
