Gun Range Membership

In order to become a member of the gun club, one of the following must apply:

• Have completed an Area 301 Training Class

• Have a valid CCW permit.

• Be LEO / OPOTA cert or equivalent.

• Be vetted through a firearms professional in the industry.

Safety Rules

1. Check website Area301.org prior to arriving to make sure the range (s) are available.
2. Be aware of others that may be in the area.
3. Always notify everyone there that you are going down range.
4. Paper targets are in the shed, do not place paper targets in front of any steel targets.
5. Do not put any used paper targets back into the shed. Only the backer.
6. All Steel is to be put back. Do not leave it set up.
7. The trash receptacle is located in your vehicle.
8. Eye and hearing protection shall be worn at all times when your on the range.
9. No alcohol or drugs permitted. No one is to be under the influence of any intoxicating substance.
10. All local, state, and federal laws apply.
11. No explosive devises permitted.
12. No burning permitted.
13. All juveniles must be accompanied by an adult.
14. You must have read and signed the gun waiver prior to participating.
15. You must have watched the Range Orientation Video prior to participating.
16. No Calibers larger than .308 (7.62mm x 51mm) on any steel.
17. No Steel core, penetrator, dragons breath or Armor piercing ammunition.
18. There is no shooting on the rifle range between the 50yd line and the shooting bench -100Yds
19. Steel Must be at least 10 yds (30 feet) or further for handgun.
20. Must be at least 50 yds (150 feet ) or further for Rifle -White or Black Steel
21. Must be 100 yds (300 feet) for Rifle on the Blue Steel- Shooting Bench.
22. By signing below you agree to abide by the listed range safety rules of Area 301 LLC Gun club.

***** No one is permitted on the gun range property without first submitting a gun range waiver form! No Exceptions!

***** Anyone bringing another person to the range is solely responsible for there actions! You will be liable for any and all injuries of said person occurred on the premises!

WAIVER, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

I the undersigned, desire to participate in recreational shooting with firearms and live fire activities at AREA 301, 10025 Lisbon St. E. Louisville OH 44641 in Stark County. I understand that the activities in which I participate are physically and mentally intense and may require exertion and give rise to the possibility of injury, serious injury, and death to others and myself. I confirm and agree that I am fully aware of the risk and certify that I am physically and mentally able to be fully involved in the activities in which I elect to participate. I further agree that I will comply with all rules and regulations of the gun club range and comply with all local, state, and federal laws. I agree that I will use all equipment so as not to injure others or myself. Further, I (on behalf of my heirs, personal representatives, executor and administrator) hereby waive, release, remise, covenant not to sue and forever discharge from any claims and liabilities whatsoever without limitations that I may have or which may arise against Jess Butterworth, Area 301 LLC, member, participant, employee or instructor from any expense, damage, loss, injury, or liability (including attorney fees) due to my decision to participate in any activity on the property of 10025 Lisbon St E. Louisville, OH. 44641, AKA “Area 301 “. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the above mentioned entitles for any and all loss, injury, damage, claim, and liability.

Further, I agree to assume full responsibility of risk and bodily injury, death, and property damage. I hereby assume any and all risks, known and unknown, which may arise from my decision to participate in any activity at Area 301 Gun Club. I have been informed that I should not participate in any activity if I have any doubt or am uncertain as to my current medical conditions. I herby certify that either I am 18 years of age or the signature of my parent(s) and / or legal guardian(s) appears below.

I further acknowledge that this activity is inherently dangerous and that injuries and / or death could likely occur as a result of my participation in this event. In the event of any injury or death, I further agree and covenant that I will not sue or participate in any suit or claim against Area 301 LLC Gun Club, Jess Butterworth, participant, employees, or instructor.

By signing below, you agree to abide by the listed rules of firearm safety.

1. Treat all firearms as if they are always loaded.

2. Never point a firearm at anything you are not willing to shoot, kill or destroy.

3. Be sure of your target, its background, and beyond.

4. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target and you have made the

decision to shoot.

*****You are NOT to bring anyone on the gun range property without them FIRST having fill out and submit a waiver form. If you bring anyone on the property, YOU are legally and financially responsible for any harm, dismemberment, disability, or even death that may occur to that person or damages or harm to any other person (s) that they may inflict!

Family Memberships are for immediate family (under 18 years old) only!
